Fraggle Rock / Die Fraggles

Louise Gold puppeteered (but did not voice): Gobo Fraggle in the Outer space Segments for UK Series 1 (broadcast 7 January to 14 April 1984), and Sprocket for the last few episodes of the German series Outer space Segments (probably broadcast in 1986).

The details for both productions in general (and Ms Gold’s work on them in particular) are somewhat sketchy. If any Fraggle fans out there can help clarify the details on this section, please email the webmaster, thank you.

Although 96 episodes of Fraggle Rock were made (in Canada), and all 96 made into the UK Co-Production. Only 85 were made into the German Co-Production .(It would appear that Louise Gold performed on around the first 15 of the UK Co-Production, and around the last five or less of the German Co-Production).

Louise Gold’s little stint on the last few episodes of Die Fraggles, came about because the French production got into difficulties, and David Barclay, who was puppeteering Sprocket in Germany, had to be dispatched to France to sort it out.

Eberhad Storeck was very much used to dubbing Henson puppet characters. He had also dubbed various characters when The Muppet Show was screened in Germany.
